Stumbled on this video, and it covers all your basic tire wear symptoms.
It's a good refresher course if you ride track, whether its DOT's or slicks.
Of course street tires are thinner and dont absorb as much heat as a slick over a full session.
Hence the reason thicker slicks usually run a lower tire pressure when cold, and street tires will usually see less psi increase over a session.
That reminds me, I need to pick up a cheap temp gun tomorrow, I broke my other one being careless.

Thanks for posting this video. Confirms that I was running my tire pressure too low when I tracked my bike on its street tire. Lesson learned every day!!
