your seat cowl and your rear seat should have a hook on the inside of them to hook your helmet strap to.
Umm, no. They are not designed to hold a helmet while the bike is in motion. I would just cargo net it on the back seat if you plan to pick someone up. Inexpensive and the net can be stored under the seat when not in use. Or get one of these...

They CAN, but it doesn't mean they SHOULD.

A flathead screwdriver is designed to remove flathead screws, not to pry open stuff for to act as a chisel.

Likewise, the built in helmet lock is designed to hold your helmet while it's stationary. If you like the tail slider style, after a while you'll notice the helmet wearing away at your paint.

OK every rider I have ever rode with even calls them the "helmet hook" and yes we ride with a spare most of the time. Besides the cargo nets look gay

part number 10 & 11 are called helmet hooks! Never specifies riding or stationary they are nice enough to leave that to you

save your money and use the hooks in the trunk, they'll hold. i never heard of a helmet falling off of the stock hooks.
my cuz has a 01 gsxr he always rides with a helmate on the back and after so many years the paint is wearing off were the helmate is rubing against it.
