i just purchased a 2007 gsxr 750. i love everything about the bike except when it will not wheelie. when i dump the clutch the front will come up slightly and then the bike just slams down. after it comes down the bike has no power and will not accelerate until i pull in the clutch and rev it a few times. im hearing that theres a sensor on the bike that cuts the power if it comes up. does anyone know what to do to get around this problem.

i dont believe that about the sensor my buddy has one and he can do first gear power up... 600/750s wont do wheelies like a 1000 would ur best bet is to change ur sprockets -1/+2

The tip over sensor doesn't sound right. When you trip the tip over sensor, it shuts the bike off until you reset it by turning the key off and then on again. (That's one of the things that most trackday organizers go over in the rider's meetings because a lot of people forget about them. That's the only reason I even know about them.) And like the guy above said, if you disconnect it and really do tip it over, the engine won't shut itself off and it could end up being worse than some scratched up bodywork.

I am assuming you mean in second gear? Its because the engine has been moved forward slightly on the 06-07 models. This was done to help keep the front wheel down in racing.

It will come up it just requires a little more effort in second. When i first bought my 06 I was saying the same thing but I went out and practiced. Believe me I am no professional, I still have a lot to learn and am not consistant, but it will come up.

Here is a vid of some guy clutching up a second gear seater on the 750 although the original poster claimed it was him on a 600 until he was owned.

That's odd... I have a K7-600 and don't have any problems with wheelies... I find it hard to believe your extra hp and torque don't help, especially since you only weight like 5lbs more than mine.

this is a popular discussion, the answer that I can come up with is, go down one tooth in the front, and up 2 in the back, this will help tremendously.

The only thing stopping an 07 750 from pulling a wheelie is YOU.! I have an 07 750 and it wheelies just fine. If its cutting off though, seriously, then there's prolly something fucked up. You need to take that shit in and have it checked out.

I agree, I wanted to say it was him, but I know a couple people who can't wheelie the k6's as easy as the older ones. I agree you can, but it does take a little more effort. Its my conclusion to not wheelie mine anymore lol, I am getting a stunt bike, The bikes are to pretty to stunt!! lol!

the only thing that could possibly be wrong is the nut that connects the seat to the handle bars. fix that and your bike will wheelie fine
