i know after another year or 2 i might just do this also on the '04.....its a direct bolt-on for the '04 600, should be the same for you too............it'll probably be cheaper for me than trading this bike in for a new 750

600 to 750 is a direct bolt in. you do not need any brackets.

i thought they were to but i was told they are not a direct bolt up, the front moter mounts are at a different angle, don't know this far sure but i saw a stunter bike with a 750 frame and a 600 motor and it did not bolt up he used brkts. on the 99 back models they will bolt up. just my 2 cents

96-99 GSXR 750 is direct bolt in motor for 97-00 600 only
other than that they are not the same
no brackets made for the 600 to 750 just 1k motor brackets
I have a 00 750 with 03 1k motor in it
friend has a 97 750 with 02 1k in it
and another friend has a alstare 600 with a 02 1k motor going in it
If you need information on if your gonna go this route pm me I will give ya the place to order the brackets from

allright let me get this straight I want to put a 1000 motor of any year (or 01-03) year into a 02 03 600 frame, "why" you ask, "because" I say so with brackets that i can have made or bake myself with a bansaw and a drill press I can do this and keeping the (600/750 are these the same) airbox have slight clearance issues with tank, good enough, now can I take a 1000 swingarm and mount that up as well or do I need a 750 swingarm, I know the 600s is pidley and I would want a bigger rear wheel, and the front end, my choices are 2000 -03 as well as 04 750s or 01-03 1000 can any one break fill me in, especialy on the swing arm

I got lost on what you just said earlier
You can put a 750 in your 600 BUT you will have to do a little welding
Its much easier to put 1k motor in your bike. then to do all the cutting and welding. You will need just wires and computer and would actually need a 750 airbox.
