i ordered my new sprockets... i got the 525's -1/+2 but i have no clue which type of chain i need to get? will the one i have now work?

o and my bike is a 2008 gsxr 600 .. if that helps..

I used an RK Gold Xlink 520 chain. And would certainly recomend it.

Of course not. It is advisable to replace sprockets and chain as a set anyway or they will both wear prematurely. But you have to match sizes.

I have a vortex 520 chain, seems to be alright if you keep it lubed, just make sure you get the right size 525...

If you have a 525 sprocket set then you need a 525 chain to go with it. The RK gold is good. Any time you change sprockets the chain should be changed as well otherwise you are wasting money.:thumbup:

so i think the main question i need answered now is.... how many links do i need in my 525 RK chain? because I dont want to order the kit that cost 100 bucks to take em out... i got a gsxr 600 2008 15 tooth front 45 tooth back... choices for links are... 108.. 110...112...114...116...118...120? no clu help me out!

If you plan on riding from now on.... invest in that chain breaker and rivet tool it will save you bank!!!! and while you're at it you could create a tire company of your own too... Make sure you give me free tires for the idea!!!:rofl:
