has anybody else painted their stock windscreen. I was thinkin of painting mine gloss black and wondered if it would look good. any body done this or any suggestions let me know.

first off you would need some really good primer, and then you would have to paint both sides, but i don't why i wouldn't work.

just get a black chrome windscreen (sportech) or a dark tint one, sounds like to much trouble to paint if your just gonna have black anyway

i painted the inside of mine gloss black it looks a lot better. the only thing that sucks is you can not see through it oh well

yeah im prolly goin to just buy one, but in the mean time im gonna paint mine I think, and i dont care if i cant see through it, its cool.

you are gonna need a really good primer and it's not very $$$ you can pick it up at home depot, It comes in a blue & white spray can it's called zinser, it's made especially for all glossy surfaces so you won't have to worry about flaking or peeling, i know it works well, i used to sell the stuff. you can bind paint to glass with it thats how good it is.

My friend painted the inside of his gloss black and it looks really trick :thumbup: but yeah you gotta get that primer stuff

Screw that primer !!!! Crylon has new plastic paint out i did gloss black only and it looks freakin great. As you can tell the wind screen is fuked from the shipping company dropping my bike but thats a differ. story!!! :rofl:

beleive what you may, but that primer is the shiznitt, take a diff. way out and then ask yourself, why didn't i listen to a pro painter, but hey everyone has there own opinion b/c thats what they did, so just use your good judgement and i hope it comes out nice 4 you however u do it. :thumbup:

USNAVYGIXXER did you paint just the inside or only outside or both. Whatever you did, that looks nice.
