whats up guys, my friend just wrecked his 05 600 and i was thinking of buying it and fixin it up myself. as far as i know the frame and motor is still good. subframe and all fairings are gone. he told me he'd let me have it for 1200 but im concerned about how much it would cost me to fix it back up. anyone have any experience with this? i guess what im askin is if this is worth it or not.

I say no,looks like severalgrand would be needed. Plastic not cheap bylooking at front tire makes me wonder if forks are bent. Looks like subframe is gone. lights gone, no telling what else. You can find bikes for 3-4 grand. Especially if economy keeps thos up. I was laid off Thursday, again.

ya dude for the money your going to invest into that bike you can save it up (which would be that same as fixing this one litlte by little) and get yourself a better one that hasent been crashed. ..... thats my number one rule never buy a crashed bike you have no idea whats wrong with it. and this one looks too far gone to be even worth it.

Buy a used one, without a crash on it's record, for like $5000. That's how much you'll pay to fix up that P.O.S. Just my two cents...

Not worth it. I wrecked my bike back in Oct. and it cost me close to $1000 to fix it myself and it was just scratched compared to this bike. Your looking at $4000 to $5000 if your lucky. And if you by it for $1200 you can just about get a brand new bike if you know were to look for what you will have invested in this p.o.s.

I wouldn't even buy that to turn it into a track bike, let alone all of the extra costs to get it back to street legal status.

If the engine still runs (judging by the dirt and rocks in the coolant reservoir, I doubt it) I would sell the engine. Otherwise, I'm not even sure your friend could part it out for much. It's just too broken in too many places.

Part it out, if there is anything left to part out.
