post up pics of you riding boots, and specified if you wear them during track days only or everyday riding out in the twisties or on the city. I just got myself a pair of Alpinestars supertech at a great deal :bounce but I cant see myself riding with these to run a few errands around town you know :hmmm:

I have SIDI Vertebrae Corsa boots. They don't look storm trooper-ish like Alpinestars do. Your jeans will easily slip over the SIDI boots. I had 3 racer friends of mine all get new Alpinestars boots in the beginning of the 2006 race season. About 6-8 race weekends and a handful of trackdays later each one of my friends had duct tape and/or some kind of super glue/gorilla glue holding the soles or other pieces of the boots together. Plus, neither one of them crashed in them. I've had my SIDI's since 2003, I have at least 70-75 trackdays, 49,000 street miles, and about 15 race weekends on them and there isn't a single broken stitch. SIDI's hands down beats Alpinestars in boots. Alpinestars squeek more than SIDI's do as well (my SIDI's don't at all anymore). I always wear my boots when on the bike, even if going to the mall...when I rode to the mall that is. They are more comfortable than most of my shoes.

alpinestars SMX plus boots (black/vented)

pros:
- nice ankle protection. Feet are cool, never sweaty. Looks bada$$ and matches the rest of my A* gear

cons:
- left boot squeaks
- hard to zip all the way up
- toe part sometimes get wedged under shifter
- i feel shorter with them on (i have to tip toe as is when standing on bike....the boots make me feel 2 inches shorter so I have to stand on one leg to be stable).

* I wear full gear everywhere I go (Best Buy, Pet Smart, Movie Theatre with Wife, In-Laws..).

Joe Rocket super street boot...I wear these boots whenever I am on my bike. They don't look like "stormtrooper" boots as others have said, plus 95% of the time I'm riding with my pants on so they cover the boot if I get off to walk around. I'm just a big fan of putting my boots on every time for protection...

I wear the SMX5 WP (waterproof) Alpinestars boots. They are very comfortable and I've not had an issue with them yet. Good venting, a really cool membrane allows air in through the vents but keeps water out. Good stuff.
