Ok this is really a stupid question but its bugging me, k here goes.

I have some work done to the bike, -Dual intake cams, RCs performance ported and milled head, full yoshi trc, BMC, Factory Pro Stacks(questionable), power commander. - I wrecked the bike about 2 years ago and one of the header pipes had a dent, well now its a hole, its leaking and its hard to fix cause its right on the connecting tube, not to mention the canister is leaking bad aswell(plus it looks like shyt). I decided to just buy a new exhaust but at 1500 its not cheap. I have the factory headers laying around and was thinking of putting that on with an ackro slip on. Is there a significant power difference in the stock vs aftermarket headers? I heard on some bikes there is but the 05-06 have pretty darn good ones from the factory is what im told. I dont see a huge difference setting them side by side. Maybe a little different design.. What would you guys do? Moneys tight and I need other things including a remap and the cams redegreed and a new fuel pump so if I can do without the exhaust then I would prefer to, I need something on the exhaust though cause I want to get the best map possible and it doesnt look to good with this crap on there..

Thanks guys in advance.

I'm assuming you're riding a 1000 since you mentioned 05-06 having good OEM headers.

If it were me I would just go with the slipon onto the stock headers. Unless you're racing the power difference on a 1000 is pretty much negligible. Yeah, it's a couple of horsepower, but on top of the 150 the bike had at the back tire in stock form one or two aren't really noticeable.

Yea its a 1000.. Sry. Yea the power difference wouldnt be much with a stock bike.. I just dont know if itll hurt with the head work and cams.. I think im leaning towards the ackro slip on..
