L1 750 vs 600 valve clearance specs

Does anyone have the clearance specs (#s) for L1-L17 750? I am doing a cylinder head replacement due to the my valves having tightened up beyond their range of the 120 shims (smallest available). I have racked up over 100k miles since buying her new in 2012. The new head is a used one from ebay with 9k miles and I want to make sure that the valves are within tolerance since my pistons are 100k miles old and the valves only a tenth of that. I have the 600 manual, and I used those #s to do the only adjustment @ 75k, and it ran fine. I just want to be positive about it this time considering the huge discrepancy between the mileage on my pistons vs valves. There don't appear to be any marks on the pistons indicating contact with the valve heads, so that's a plus. My concern lies solely with the fact that despite being so nearly identical, the biggest difference between the two bikes deals primarily with the cylinders and pistons, so it's presumptuous not to think it possible for me to have an issue. Sorry, I don't have a manual for the later bikes.

If it's any help, almost all the bikes were .004"-.008" intake, .008-.012" exhaust before 2008. (I checked a K5/6 1k, K4/5 600 and a 2000-02 750. All the same.)

The K8/9 600 manual notes .003-.007" intake and .007-.011" exhaust but I don't know if that carries to any other models.

Either way, .001" makes no difference and I'd be happy using the old specs if it were my bike.

I don't see why a low mile head on higher mile pistons would be any factor at all. Congratulations on that many miles.

Thanks rv6john, i appreciate the effort as well as your congratulatory sentiments re: my high-miler. This 750 is my 4th GSX-R in 27 years (1989-750, 1999-600, 2000-750, 2011-750) all of which I've run high miles on, the lowest of which being the 600 which I sold with just over 80,000 miles. The 2011 I've been riding for the past 6 years is the first bike I've owned from the dealer floor brand new, so they are all my miles. Aside from chains, brake pads, tires, filters and oil, it's been a flawless ride (except for some crashes requiring new case covers, bodywork, mirrors and pegs, which aren't the fault of the bike of course). People really underestimate the longevity of these machines - knock on wood! Lol
