I finally made a choice. I was going to get the M4 cause I love the deep sound but the more vids I found the more it sounded like it would be obnoxiously loud. There was a vid on Youtube where you can hear the bike coming but it was quite a while before you could even see the rider and that's exactly what I don't want :D Anyways, I had a Leo Vince slipon on my Ninja 250R and loved it so I hope I get the same luck with this one.

I'd like to ceramic coat it black. Has anyone done that to this pipe or any pipe for that matter and has had it for a while now? I'd like to know the longevity of it. I don't want to have to coat it every year and if I can I really would just like to do it once.

Once more thing... I got it at Kneedraggers. I found the best price I could get on the web and they matched it  Only did that cause I have done business with KD before and hadn't done any with the other company. Anyways, I'm psyched:D

I dont think the M4 is obnioxious by any means..with the baffle in, its rather tame. Anyways, you also cant go wrong with a Leo. I've heard mixed reviews on kneedraggers in the past so let us know how it works out with them and pics of your pipe..Packages of parts always brings a smile to my face :birthday::thumbup:

I'ii definitely post picts when it's on the bike. Any of you have experience with ceramic coating? I'd love to know it's longevity and if it has any negative effects on the bike. From what I've been reading it's suppose to keep heat "in" so the outside of the muffler would technically not be as hot as it would be without the coating. Wondering if that's a bad thing for the bike.

My exhaust came in today and it's now installed. Looks so much better! Easier than I ever thought it could be to install too. I've read a ton of stuff about Cat hack etc... not sure I will be doing it though I'm not so wild about the lima bean hanging from my bike right now :D I'm hoping to run across someone(in person) who's done the hack and running a mid-pipe w the slipon so I can hear how loud it sounds before I chop anything off.

I'm going to do a little more research too on the ceramic coating before I decide to do that also.

I do wonder if I'd need a mid pipe or if the pipe would work as is without the cat.

I really like Leo Vince stuff. I doubt it would fit properly without a midpipe, but the cat has to go, it weighs like 10 pounds. I'm not sure if Leo Vince makes a midpipe. Here's an Akrapovic midpipe, but it's like $250

Won't negatively impact your bike whatsoever. The purpose of your exhaust pipe is to direct hot exhaust gases away from the motor (and the rider), the problem with the metals that are used is that they heat up and the heat from the hot exhaust gas is converted into radiant heat in the metal instead of flying away into the atmosphere behind you. The ceramic coating helps reduce this effect and allows the exhaust to more efficiently remove heat away from the bike. I did it just for looks, and you won't notice any change in performance whatsoever. Unless you use an infrared thermometer on your bike's parts for some reason, you'll never notice that the temperature of the exhaust's surface dropped 20 degrees.

@ tls2death, thanks for the info! Makes sense. I called up a different place and it's something they do all the time so I'm gonna get it done. $20 a foot is not bad.

@ Bry, it's still got the lima bean on so not sure it's a useful clip. When it's back together maybe I'll give it a shot if I can get something close to what it sounds like in person.

Thanks for the help! Next will be deciding if I want the ugly LV sticker on there. I feel it needs something on it but not fond of their logo :D

It's now off to get coated. I'm going to be waiting a bit on any cat hack until I can hear on in person. I can't wait for our group rides to begin again.

I found a TTunner midpipe on ebay for a bit over $100 that specifies my bike but no idea if the other end fits my exhaust. Is it usually a standard size end?

@350gt, maybe another year model but this is the stock can below
