earlier this week i lost my only key for my bike. i searched all over the web on how to start my bike without the key so i could ride until i got the key replaced.
no one has any info on how to (hotwire) a gsxr, because they dont want theirs stolen. as for the solution; under the ignition on my 600 there are two upside down 12mm bolts, undo these. pull out the ignition and carefully follow the wires to the disconnect, unplug and pull out. on top of the ignition are two screws, remove.carefully without loosing any pieces, remove the top plate, cylinder , and spring. take the cylinder to a locksmith. 28.00 dollars and one hour later i had a key. once you pull the cylinder you can also use a screwdriver to turn theignition on in the bottom of the ignition housing......
