when i ride my bike it will make a whining sound at a certain speed/rpm. It sounds like it is coming from somewhere towards the middle to front of the bike. It goes away once i get moving at a faster speed. My buddy suggested that it might be a bent front sprocket? Is this a big thing to worry about? What could it be?

i think i know the sound your talking about. I dont know what directly is causing it but i know that all 3 of my bikes have made the same sound so im pretty sure its normal. To me it sounds like a super charger whine?..which sounds cool:thumbup:

GSXR,s are known to have a very pleasing induction roar when they hit the sweet spot, anywhere from 8k to 10k rpms. The roar comes from the air box under the fuel tank, so your noise is in the right place to be induction noise, just enjoy it , and be glad you bought a GSXR.
