Hey there guys. I recently got a 2002 GSX-R600. I'm in love with this bike. It has a Hindle slip-on, power commander and switchable TRE.
I always wondering however, what is the difference between the bikes in the 600cc classes. Like the R6, CBR, GSXR or ZX-6R. So me and my friend, who has a 2002 CBR 600 F4i traded for a ride. Here are the difference that I have found:
His CBR had an amazing tranny. It switched so smooth, it was a pleasure to go through the gears. My gixxer however, was not like that. First gear especially was clunky as hell and when you would downshift into it, it feels like it's falling through. My gixxer however, had a much smoother throttle response while the CBR may have been a bit jerky. Also, the CBR seemed more flickable, but that maybe is because mine is dropped. I want to raise it and we'll see what happens. All in all, they were completely different feeling bikes.
So what do you guys think? Am I pretty accurate on the differences? Is there a way to fix that transmission thing and make it more like the honda? Anyone compared an R6 to the Gixxer?
