This is a repost of an email that was sent out to the group. There was a picture in the email that didn't go through so I am reposting here. I have a cycling friend (the pedal kind) that got hit by a rider this past Sunday. The rider after hitting my friend bolted from the scene. Here are the details and the pic. If you have any info on identifying the rider please send me an email - I am steveb on this forum - thanks!!!!!
here is the recap of the accident:
While climbing Palomar Sunday morning I was hit by a motorcycle who subsequently fled the scene...
The motorcycle while descending crossed the double solid line into my lane and struck me near the guard rail at the extreme right hand side of the road.....
He left me laying there in the road with a mangled bike, a split helmet and a concussion.
I spent the day in the ER and being transported by medics.
Rick Clemson Photography got a picture of the dude as he took off but no license plate is visible, you can clearly see the impact points on the side of the fairing.
If you or anybody else knows this dude, or maybe somebody that just needs body-work done to a Red and White Honda F4, Please let me know. I also posted this on Craigslist Motorcyle Forums as well.
