first, welcome to the site. the only thing I can tell you about changing levers and grips is don't forget to grease the piviot point on the levers. when I changed my grips on my last bike I just cut the old ones off, spit in the new ones, slid them on put, the bar ends back on and let it rip. never had any problems but I was told i should have glued them on.

Should take you a whopping 15 min to change 2 grips and 2 levers.

helppp

ok so the levers were easy enough (the brake is a lil lose if u shake it up and down)..... the grips ended up not fitting on but after i slid the old ones back on i went to screw the screw in and it didnt really stay.... i think it was just screwing into the little rubber thing so bascially i could just push the screw in and out.... anyone have any idea how to fix this? thankks

Funny enough, another member on here had the same problem only days ago. The rubber stopper which the screw screws into has been pushed too far into the bar. You need to remove the bar ends and try to draw the rubber bit back out. Either get a longer screw and gently screw it a little way into the rubber stopper and then pull it back out or find something long and thin (no jokes please!!) which you can hook into it so you can draw it back out. Once out enough, the knack is to very gently screw the bar end screw into the rubber stopper; too fast or too firm and you just push it back in. The screw needs to grip it before you can really screw it in.

Hope this helps!

This may sound like a strange thing to do, but try inserting some rawplugs into the rubber piece first. Yes, the same things which you put into a wall before screwing in a bolt. Make sure they are the correct size for the diameter of your bolts (probably around 10mm). then when you screw in the bolt, the rubber will expand creating a secure grip in the bar. If that sounds too much like hard work, use the old hairspray trick again but this time spray inside the bar ends and then put the rubber piece in. Allow to set overnight and then screw in you bar ends. Not as secure as the first option, but they shouldn't move about after this which is what you want.
