its not 800 a day its 800 a month.
I'm pretty sure we all figured that one out! :D

Only a fucken moron would spend 800 a day for gas to get to work! :headshake

It just seems impossible to spend that much money on gas for a motorcycle each month unless there's a hole in the tank.

You need a sticker

Get a fucking 100mpg moped and put a sticker on it that says "My other bike is a Gixxer" who cares who laughs at you on your commute, you can laugh right back once your home and can ride that bad boy evenings and weekends...

How much is gas there?!? Even if you only got 30mpg, gas would still have to cost $8/gal for you to spend 800 on gas in a month driving 100miles a day.

You should be getting better mpg than that. If not, maybe even think about changing your gearing to lower your rpms while on the highway (if that's how you commute)

My modified pig gets filled up every day and a half of commuting in the summer. With premium being what it is now that will be about $400 a month without including night and weekend rides.
And you complain that fuel prices have tripled since you started riding, phuck that, I used to pay 35 cents an imperial gal and now I pay $145 liter. That is more than triple and I do not even want to do the math to figure it out exactly - way to damn depressing.

:thefinger greedy corporate assh@@@@@le oil companies!

:| Maybe I fucked up the conversion then. Let me try that again.

We pay R12 a liter. One dollar = 7.8 rand. I usually throw in R125 and it just barely lasts me a day. So that's what... R3400 a month = Just over $350...

I yeah I made a mistake then I just barely even get payed $800 a month.

But still that mileage seems high? Maybe my bike is burning too much fuel? You really think i could have a hole in it?

I really don't mind getting a 125cc as long as it looks nice. I'm pouring unleaded (green) gas into my bike. Maybe that's wrong?

Well at least I know my math is wrong no wonder you guys didn't believe me XD

but but the point is back in 2007 it was R5 a liter!!

Can you imagine that? R100 would get you 25 liters of petrol! Now R100 can't even get you 10 liters of petrol.

Fuck that man I can't spend so much money on petrol. Aint no way I'm using tax's either - you guys know how violent taxi's are here and I don't fit in the bad people.

I have been getting about 35-38 mpg on my K4 1000. I drive about 65 miles round trip to work 5 days a week. Way better than 14-16 mpg in my 2000 Expedition. Riding a bike is the way to go.
I'm sorry was there a post attached to your signature? :bounce

But srs I have a Ford Cortina 1980 model and it's only a 1600cc engine, but the body is so heavy I can't even afford to drive the thing.

So yeah, bike is far cheaper... Far cheaper! I agree.

well fuck it. I'm going to buy me a new motorcycle that's faster than the one I have atm.

If I'm going to spend most of my time on the road I may as well be the envy of every other fucking rider/driver.

expect a new thread soon
